SECURITY RuralVi@.
Bellow, the way in which transaction security is handled within RuraVí@ is explained.
Information related to your account access is sent al 128 bits, using encrypted SSL data
transmission; the Licensing Agreement used
was issued by Verisign.
The RuralVi@ screen is split at least in two; the upper part includes the headings and
the lower part contains the area where you should enter your user name and password ID, and where, after this, the
Internet Banking services and information are presented.
The upper part does NOT arrive at your computer using SSL protocol as no confidential
information is contained there. Thus, a faster transfer speed is obtained and the images included in the transfer
may be saved in the browser.
The lower part is sent using SSL protocol. Therefore, information requested for your ID,
such as the data related to your financial products, is sent in a secure environment. Both parts are contained within
a framework (FRAME) that does not travel using SSL which means
that those using Netscape will not see the closed padlock.
Points 2 and 3 show how to check, via Netscape, that data is sent in a secure environment.
