A card used exclusively to make purchases over the Internet.
It functions as an electronic purse and offers you the option of charging and discharging the card with the amounts you need to purchase over the Internet, with a limit of up to €3,000.
You can make the charges from the Electronic Banking service or from cash machines from the linked account to your debit card or the available balance of your credit card.
It reduces the risk of fraud in purchases over the Internet as it used exclusively in this channel and is not linked to your other cards.
If you should lose the card or if it is stolen, only the available amount remaining on the card can be used, without it being possible to access your credit or debit card balance.
Settlement of the virtual card payments can be done in the same way as a debit card, through the generation of an informative statement with the charges, discharges and purchases made, but that statement generates no debits or credits as, to all effects and purposes, it is a prepaid card.
